Swedish Meatballs were very popular in the 50’s and 60’s. They can be served as an appetizer, as part of a smorgasbord, or as a main dish.

“Comfy Cuisine” has some Swedish roots and shares her recipe for one of her favorite comfort foods. A mixture of beef and pork along with traditional spices are added to the meat mixture and simmered in a beef broth.  These meatballs are traditionally served with Lingonberry preserves which can be difficult to find.  Whole cranberry sauce would be just as delicious!
