Matzo Ball Soup

We all know that chicken soup is closely associated with comfort and well-being. In Jewish households, its earned the nickname Jewish penicillin.  It’s what Grandma always made to cure what ever ailed you.

Some matzo balls can be “belly sinkers”. In this recipe thanks to “A New York Foodie” she adds a little seltzer or club soda to ensure that they turn out light and airy.  These traditional dumplings make this soup very filling.  Although it’s usually made during the holidays, this soup can be enjoyed any time you need some warming up.
